Firefall is an upcoming free-to-play MMOFPS, with highly stylized artwork and graphics with an emphasis on tactical combat.
Players are set about
two hundred years in the future, and into The Melding, a vicious
energy storm that has engulfed the Earth. An evil alien race called The
Chosen arrived around the same time that humans discovered crystite, a
new energy source now being used to power the battleframes employed to
fight The Chosen.
Firefall is set to have PvE and PvP play, across a

Creatures : Aranhas, small predators that look like a cross between a spider and a
scarab; Brontodons, giant roaming plant eaters with tusks and dorsal
spikes.

the primary excavation site for crystite; Smokestack Desert, the
intensely hot region of Melding-created flora and fauna.
